10/28: Queen Ave Benefit Show

DIY art and venue spaces have faced increased scrutiny following the tragic fire that claimed thirty-six lives at Oakland’s Ghost Ship warehouse. Nashville’s DIY scene is no exception: many of our favorites spaces have been closed indefinitely due to safety concerns.

As such, The Queen Ave team is altering their space with needed repairs that will ensure the safety of guests, performers, and collected artworks. With guidance from Mayor Megan Berry and other city organizations, the DIY art collective looks forward to reopening in East Nashville with help from the community.

To support the reopen of Queen Ave, The Cobra is this Saturday. Bands performing include: HARI, Lawndry, and Only & Z (the new project from Zach Prosser of Mom & Dad).

Details and costs of the needed repairs are listed on QUEEN AVE’s GoFundMe page here. For more information on showtimes and how you can join this community effort, visit the event page here.
