11/3: Jessica Lea Mayfield with Idle Bloom and Frances Cone

Nashville’s own Jessica Lea Mayfield will kick off The Sorry Is Gone Tour this Friday, November 3, at The Basement East.

Mayfield’s fourth album, Sorry Is Gone (released in September via ATO) finds the singer-songwriter hauntingly chronicling the turmoil of an abusive relationship. Featuring a killer backing band (including Seth Avett and Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley) and Mayfield’s most direct writing to date, the record is a harrowing, brave, and empowering piece of work.

Keep an eye out for our November issue, which may or may not feature a profile on Mayfield. For tickets and details about Friday’s show, click here.
