2/7: Harrison Gilman’s Breaking Ground at Galerie Tangerine

When we think about art galleries in town, two general locations come to mind: the Downtown Arcade, where established galleries and art crawls have thrived for years; and Wedgewood-Houston, a spot where a crop of once up-and-coming galleries have established themselves as integral pieces in Nashville’s ever-expanding arts scene.

While we love the galleries in those neighborhoods, this week, we’d like to offer something a little off the beaten (arts) path. We’re talking about Gulch-adjacent Galerie Tangerine, a “juicy, mod art venue” that opened last year. They’re hosting Breaking Ground, the first-ever solo show by Santa Barbara native Harrison Gilman, tonight (February 7) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you’re a fan of Haring, Basquiat, or Picasso, we recommend checking it out. Oh, and there’s going to be music, catering, and an open bar, which certainly never hurt any event. Get all the details here.
