9/9: 11th Annual Cumberland River Dragon Boat Festival

The Cumberland is the most important—and most underutilized—waterway in Nashville. Yes, at one point it was really, really gross, but thanks to local conservationist groups like Cumberland River Compact, you can actually do fun things on the river now (we promise you won’t grow a third eye if you get in the water).

One of said fun things you can do: participate in the Cumberland River Dragon Boat Festival. Get twenty people together (co-workers, friends, frenemies, or strangers) and compete against other teams in the 250-meter race. Click here for tickets.
