NATIVE Premiere: Fable Cry’s “Welcome to the Joint”

Fable Cry invites you into their world . . . if you dare. Their latest release, “Welcome to the Joint,” sees the “theatrical scamp rock” quintet playing a speakeasy that looks an awful lot like local jazz club Rudy’s Jazz Room.

The single’s video introduces the theme for their upcoming concept album, which mixes classic vampire lore with Prohibition-era swag. The band says it’s inviting viewers to a “playfully macabre atmosphere,” and we couldn’t agree more. When paired with Fable Cry’s updated vaudevillian sound, the video makes for a mini noir novella that’s sure to entice your spooky side. Check it out at your own peril.
