10/6: Cassette Store Day 2018

Everything may sound “warmer” on vinyl (whatever that means), streaming is easiest, and CDs probably boast the best sound quality. But there’s something about the cassette, the vessel of revealing mix tapes, that we never stopped loving. That’s why we’re going down to Nashville Cassette Day on Saturday, October 6th!

Presented by local tape company Banana Tapes and national heavy-hitter Burger Records, Nashville Cassette Day will feature live music at three of  Nashville’s finest record and tape purveyors. Catch shows at Grimey’s from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., The Groove Nashville from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Fond Object East from 5 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.

At the shows, you’ll be able to get all the performers’ records on cassette (duh), but the real draw here is getting to know our local #CassetteCulture, which believe us, gang, is thriving. See the lineup and more details here.
