4/13: Record Store Day Roundup

“What really matters is what you like, not what you are like . . . Books, records, films—these things matter. Call me shallow but it’s the fuckin’ truth, and by this measure I was having one of the best dates of my life.”

Is it wrong to judge someone based on their taste or record collection, as Cusack advocates in High Fidelity? We’ll say it’s not all you should consider when pondering an interpersonal relationship, but, well . . . it should be considered.

So this Record Store Day, join us in finding grailed vinyl at some of our favorite shops in town. We’ve got killer local acts like Peachy, past feature Sad Baxter, and Whoa Dakota playing Vinyl Tap; past feature Erin Rae, Blank Range, and Future Thieves at The Groove; and finally, for the first RSD in the new location, we’ve got past feature Anderson East and past cover story Alanna Royale in the building at Grimey’s. Wherever you choose to go, we can guarantee no one will be as much of an asshole as Rod Gordan.
