Sometimes, even the fluffiest of us need some help. And what better way is there for Nashvillians to lend a hand to our furry friends than through music?
That’s exactly what Woofstock 2018 is looking to do. Emmylou Harris and friends are coming together at Ascend Amphitheater to finish up Americana Fest with a fundraising concert on Sunday, September 16 at 12 p.m. Ticket sales raise money for Crossroads Campus and Harris’ own nonprofit, Bonaparte’s Retreat, an organization that benefits rescue dogs in Nashville shelters.
Harris (who, in case you didn’t know, is a 14-time Grammy award winner and an avid pup lover) will be joined by John Hiatt and The Goners, Jamey Johnson, Ida Mae, Margo Price, and many more.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow, August 10th, at 10 a.m. for those without Americana Fest passes. And while your own pooch might not be able join in on the fun (Ascend has a service-animals-only policy) he’ll be happy to hear you’re helping his friends in need (word gets around at the park).
