Abigail Washburn and Wu Fei at Oz Arts

Back in October, Wu Fei was on the cover of our annual Color Issue. In the time since, she’s continued her video improv series (in which she’s teamed up with folks like Appalachian clogger Becky Hill), toured extensively (including stops at the Committee of 100 Gala in D.C. and Knoxville’s Big Ears festival), and released an album with clawhammer banjo virtuoso Abigail Washburn. Now, Wu and Washburn are bringing their mashup of Appalachian and Chinese folk music to Oz Arts on June 1. Get more info here, and read our story on Wu here.
