Native Premiere: My Politic’s “Loneliness”

After growing up in Missouri and taking a train to Boston (where they wrote and recorded raw, DIY releases for three years), My Politic is finally releasing their first proper studio album, 12 Kinds of Lost. Though the album was written and recorded in Nashville, the group has kept it’s Appalachian folk sound—and it’s gut-wrenchingly heartbreaking writing.

Single “Loneliness” touches on the isolation that comes with lost love, and the song’s video—which features moving portraits of people along Broadway—drives that message home perfectly. It’s honest imagery, the kind that makes sad country songs relatable and memorable. Check out the video above, and listen to 12 Kinds of Lost now.
