Summer Palace’s “Summer Callus” Release

Summer Palace’s Noah Gurley has eclectic tastes. He cites everything from George Harrison to Harry Nilsson to Migos to Lil’ Yachty as influences, and his sounds falls somewhere between Discovery, Panda Bear, and Sufjan Stevens.

While his early demos relied heavily on ambience, psychedelia, and noise, Gurley’s new EP, Summer Callus, shows a more pop-forward direction. With help from vocalist Callie McFee (formerly of Kristoff Waltz), Gurley’s created five magnificent tracks over smooth beats, rolling synths, and sweet harmonies.
