Baroque pop whiz Thad Kopec is debuting his new full-length, The Shadow and the Caster, May 12 at WELD. In case you haven’t listened on Spotify yet, the record is a huge, cavernous-sounding affair that brings to mind Sufjan Stevens, Arcade Fire, and St. Vincent.
Perhaps, then, it’s no surprise that Kopec will be backed by a a twelve-piece orchestral ensemble for the WELD performance. The ensemble will also play with openers october tooth, so make sure you get there early. Door are at 7 p.m., find out more here.
