3/10: Nashville Rollergirls Season Opener

Back in our June 2013 issue, NATIVE introduced readers to the world of Nashville Rollergirls. And let us just remind you, it’s a beautiful world. As Jennifer Bobbitt, a.k.a. Maulin Monroe, told us at the time: “It’s a different type of woman that does roller derby. She can have any type of body or any type of career and fit in.”

On March 10, Nashville Rollergirls is hosting its season opener at the Fairgrounds Sports Arena. Better yet, it’s a doubleheader! The Music City All Stars will face off against Demolition City at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Music City Brawl Stars vs. Western Kentucky Rockin’ Rollers at 7:15 p.m. Tickets for the event can be purchased online. After the games, you can head over to Smith & Lentz for the official afterparty.
