Our friends over at Be Witched have really outdone themselves this time, y’all.
This Saturday, the poetry/witchcraft arts and events group is hosting CENTERFOLD right outside of Soft Junk, and let us tell you: this event is one for the books. Where do we start? There’s going to be readings from New York poet Brian K, Georgia poet/professional rodeo barrel racing champion (yes, you read that correctly), and local poet/visual artist Meagan Crawford.
But that’s just the start. Nashville drag queen, trailblazer, and troublemaker Sassyopathic will be on the scene doing performance art; Blasé is doing a DJ set; and finally, there will be “The Male Gaze on the Rocks,” an art piece that, as the folks at Be Witched describe it, “will literally be scantily clad men staring at the crowd all night from a rocky cliff.” Oh, and there’s going to be live sketch comedy, a Barbie Chandelier, and beer from Little Harpeth. God, we’re exhausted just listing it all.
Get all the info here, and come out Sunday for what’s sure to be one of the strangest—and best—times you’ve had in a long time.
