8/11: The Pink Spiders with Tayls and King Wilderness at Basement East

Nashville natives The Pink Spiders are making the trip back to Music City to celebrate their fourth album, Mutations, at The Basement East this Saturday at 9 p.m.

If you aren’t familiar with The Spiders—that is, if you didn’t frequent Nashville’s aughts indie scene—here’s the deal: it’s straight-up garage rock that could easily soundtrack the film adaptation of Lizzy Goodman’s Meet Me in the Bathroom. Think Marshalls, ripped jeans, converse, and some artfully-swooped bangs.

Rounding out the party on Saturday is Tayls, the brainchild of local psych stalwart and explosive frontman Taylor Cole. Find our more about Cole and Tayls in our You Oughta Know write-up, and get tickets to the show here.
